Who Is Finally HAPPY with their System?

So let's hear it. Is anyone truly happy with what they have got?

I've moved up to an i7 and SSD because I wanted "responsiveness" and efficiency. Now I am jealous of those APUs, knowing full well it won't be as quick.

I don't think I'll ever be happy with my system, I go from wanting "all things mighty" to a "simple life" type of style.

Who's actually happy with their systems without any urge to try something new or add things just because "they can"?

Heck of not me and I haven't even built it. I can't afford the whole kitten caboodle just yet but I need to make a start building because my current computer is beginning to show signs of imminent death. So I've got the i5 4670k that I've had my eye on for a while on order and it's rocking 8GB of RAM which I may upgrade to 16GB if I'm feeling flush.

However the major sacrifice I've had to make is video card. I can't afford the GTX 760 that I want for another few weeks so I have to wait for that. Furthermore I plan on moving the OS to its own little realm of a SSD. Maybe with a few games that take an age to load. Both of these have had to go on hold for a while whilst I save cash for them. Additionally I'm curious to see what temperatures and noise I'm making with the fan setup that comes with the case and an aftermarket CPU cooler. I may end up wanting to upgrade everything to BeQuiet! .

I am - when it does what I need with the minimum outlay and the lowest cost. When it doesn't, I upgrade to the minimum spec that does what I want.

The problems always arise when you upgrade one component, which has a knock-on effect on others. Last year I upgraded my monitor to a 1440p Dell, which means my graphics card is starting to struggle somewhat. I could just make do with lower quality settings in games, but then I ask myself, what's the point in having a high-res monitor?! So when the custom cooled R9 290s are more freely available & prices stabilise a bit, I'll definitely be adding one...or two

Happy with the internal system, but need to upgrade case for more rad space - 1 x 360 rad is not enough when gaming.

Looking at an Enthoo and 2 x 480 rads in the next couple of months.

Very happy with my desktop, and have been since I stuck a low profile 7750 in there

Love my new laptop; mobile Trinity works beautifully, lots of battery life and decent gaming performance. Plus Win 8 with 8GB of fast DDR3 and a 1TB mechanical hard drive is surprisingly responsive - always assumed I'd shift onto my SSD ASAP when I got this, but I've not felt the need.

HTPC - a Llano build courtesy of a wonderful Hexus competition - is fantastic for watching DVDs/iplayer and firing up a few console ports for some big screen 'pad gaming.

So yeah, looks like I'm happy with all my rigs

Pretty happy with it after a few years but I'd like a bit more oomph for video work. Also would be nice to have USB3 on my mobo. I think my main issue has been storage. Always seem to need more...

EDIT: now I think about it my GTX570 is creaking a little now I've added a 2nd screen so I'd like to upgrade that to a model with more memory.

More or less happy with mine. The only thing i am a tad dissapointed in is the 4670k. I just wish it had more overclocking headroom in it. I have the capacity in my cooling (pair of good 360mm rads mounted in a box on a windowsill sucking cold outside air through them) but it takes silly volts for anything past 4.5ghz. Everything else i am happy with.

Same here, but I cannot put a bigger desk in the room, so I'd need a bedroom upgrade first.

I really thought I'd have to upgrade from a phenomII x4 and gtx560ti, but they are coping very well.

I'm just waiting on a retail higher res oculus rift now as that's probably going to be my next thing I get.

Unhappy with my system, still need some major upgrades but might aswell just rebuild myself a whole system.

Pretty happy with my internal system (apart from waiting on a couple of things to be delivered....), moved down from an i7 to an APU and I like it, upgraded the GPU at the same time and it does what I want it to, can't remember how the old build coped with things but I'm guessing games actually run better now than they used to.

Externally I'm never happy, keep switching between whether I want to keep my U2711 or go for a 120hz monitor, but I've been like that for a while now, and I don't think I'll stop anytime soon
