    Printers?

    Hi All,
The scanner in the in-laws' multifunction printer has just died. I checked and it was from 2005, so it's had a good life! Can anyone recommend a budget all-in-one. Needs to have:

    Scanner
    Printer (obviously)
    Photocopy function
    Sheet loader (if possible)
    Wireless print from iPad

Also if you've bought one that's rubbish please feel free to let me know as I'd prefer not to have to support it!

    Ta....

You don't mention whether it needs to be colour or not, but I just read this review, which might be useful:

    Re: Printers?

Sorry, yes colour is a requirement too, hence inkjet over laser.

    Re: Printers?

What is you budget and how much printing do they do?
I changed from a HP PSC 750 to a Samsung Colour Laser Multi function. I think it was under £200 for the Samsung. As a laser it's running costs per print is not the best but I hardly print. I used to have dried cartridges with the HP which pushed the running cost up.

Personally, I've always had a preference for HP for office printers. It dates back to my Laserjet II and Deskjet 500 days.

BUT, Canon MF devices, over the last few (maybe 10) have been pretty good, too.

Personally, it'd come down to feature set, pricing, available deals, consumables, etc.

These days, I wouldn't have a brand preference between those two for general purpose printing.

    Re: Printers?

Best to try and get one with individual inks if you can. Saves you having to replace a whole set of inks because you've run out of one of them!
