    Question Shuttle SN41G2V2 mythtv box

    Hello,

I'm about to purchase the following to build a mythtv based PVR running linux.

    Shuttle SN41G2V2
    AMD Athlon XP 2600+
Crucial 512MB DDR PC2700 (One stick)
    Seagate Barracuda7200.7+ 160GB UDMA100

    All for around 350 GBP.

Could anyone with a similar spec confirm the following:

    1. I'll be able to get tv-out working with the nVidia drivers on a 2.6 linux kernel (need 2.6 since I'm going to be using a twinhan dvb card).

    2. I'll be able to get 5.1 surround sound working out of the spdiff socket.

    Thank you!

i have that shuttle, can't help with your questions but it's a good shuttle why not get a 2500 'mobile' chip, you will be able to overclock it and it's better for shuttles, less heat and less power used
