Question Looking for a cheap Windows laptop - At least Dual Core 2Ghz, 4GB Ram

I'm looking for a cheap £300 or under laptop/tablet etc to meet the minimum requirements of the Elgato Game Capture HD.

I need the following minimum features:

    • Windows 7 or later
    • 2.0 Ghz dual core CPU
    • 4GB Ram
    • USB 2.0 ports
    • DVD-RW Drive

I build my own PCs but I've never had a laptop and don't know much about them. If there's some features you think I'll need then please let me know.

How much would happen to be your budget?

For something like that I'd say ebay would be a pretty good bet, unless you really want new.

Also, if you find a really cheap laptop with an earlier OS you can get Win 7 OEM for about £70 I think and install it yourself (check the hardware though).

Argos/Tesco have a tonne of refurb laptops on their ebay shops for under £300, been looking at some myself.

    HP Pavilion 15-e081sa Refurbished 15.6” for £299.99

ACER Aspire E1-571 15.6" Refurbished Laptop for £289.99

ADVENT Torino X500 15.6” Laptop Deals for £299.99

All 3x laptops should be more that enough for your needs, but based on the price restrictions, CPU carried and additional components, I would suggest the first one mentioned. i3-3110M is good as it gets in this price range (2.4Ghz i3, 2 physical/4 virtual cores), plus 4GB of RAM, a 1TB HDD. Plus ... Cashback!! (1.57% at the moment).
