    Adding a USB3.0 PCI-E card in a system that already has USB3.0

My mobo is an Asus M4A87TD Evo

It has a Renesas USB3.0 controller, but only two external USB3.0 ports and no internal USB3.0 headers.

If I add one of these PCI-E USB3.0 adapters (with 2 more external ports and 1 internal header) is there any danger of the drivers/controllers clashing?

    Thanks

I would go for add-on cards from eBay (even China and such) if you are not in hurry. Purchased and installed numerous into different machines and they are still fully functional.

PCIe Add-on card with two external ports for £4.62 plus 4pin power
PCIe Add-on card with two external ports for £5.19 plus MOLEX power
PCIe Add-on card with four external ports for £5.99 plus MOLEX power
PCIe Add-on card with two external ports and one internal header for £6.56 plus MOLEX power

Thanks, went for this one in the end because their drivers and support seems pretty good, don't mind paying a bit extra for it
