    XMS3500..Where has it gone?

    Hi,

The sort I need is Corsair Platinum Series XMS 3500 C2 there is a code on the front which reads MY-010-CS and on the back thecode reads CMX512-3500C2PT. I can't seem to find this memory anywhere. But I already have 512 of the exact same ram in my computer at the moment. Any help would be great.

    Cheers

It's Winbond BH-5 chips - been out of production for a long time now.
Still great for an AMD platform if you can pick some up s/h.

I had the same problem, in the end I just got sticks of Mushkin ram to make up to the gig, that also use BH-5 chips. If it's the XMS V1.1 then it's BH-5, so just get another 512Mb, but a different brand.

I got mine off a forum. Best bet is to keep an eye out on the forums and eBay for a stick of BH-5 ram. Be careful though, a lot of people are selling their sticks for rather excessive amounts of cash, if you can't find one maybe even consider selling your stick and getting 2x 512Mb of cheaper but still CAS 2 ram.

Not that I know of, no. BH-5 ram's no longer made - but if you can get hold of a 512Mb stick of BH-5 that'll do fine.... if you do and want to swap with my XMS3500 V1.1 stick then you can (e.g. if you find a Mushkin stick or similar as I'm running mixed (see sig)).

Actually I had just bought a stick of XMS3500 (to go with a 512Mb stick of 3200LLV1.1 - same BH-5 chips, different spd programming).
If you want to make a sensible offer PM me.
