    Digital TV Tuners?

Not sure if this is the right forum for this or not but anyways.

I'm after a tv tuner that I can either pulg my digital freeview box into or that already supports digital tv. Not to fussed on the price, I know in the states that ATI do some nice ones with a frontend rather like Sky+, which allows you to just click a programme and it will record it when it's on.

Anything like that over here? Anyone got a good card they can recommend?

    Thanks.

If your after a card that can do freeview then there are a few that can do it with the main ones being the hauppauge Wintv Nova-T. This is available on either a PCI internal card or a USB external device. I personally use the hauppauge DEC-2000T set-top box with USB to record from TV to PC directly.

After 3 Non-Working Nova-T cards from the above mans place of work I went with a nebula Digit-TV - do a web search and you will find they are the best digiTV cards. UK Firm as well.

Love it - need to get a new aerial though- it found more channels on the edge of its detection.

Thanks for that m8 Just ordered this one http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/sitesearch/g...q81.COU2uk&orw

It says about a 1 hour show take up 1.6gb of hdd space and that you can burn it to dvd. Do you know any 3rd party programmes to use with it instead of the one it comes with, as the software its with seems to get a slaggin off everywhere.

I was hoping to get something where you could encode the mpeg2 to lower quality if you wanted to save space.

I use showshifter (http://www.showshifter.com/) but I cannot say if that works with the card you've got as I've only tested it on the DEC box so far.
