    Asus Star Ice Confusion

I am looking to buy a new heatsync for my new build and have deicded on the Asus Star Ice.

But I have become confused, on checking the Asus Website it does not mention being compatible with socket 939. However all retailers and magazine reviews I have read in the UK say it is? Who is right?
    Specs:

    Q6600 G0, Thermalright Ultra 120, ABIT IP35 PRO, 4GB Corsair DDR2, Trusty old Tagan 480u, BFG 8800 GTS 512, Samsung F1 750 GB.

It fits the 939 fine. A few people here have that cooler on a 939 and had a few issues with it when using high quality memory with fancy LEDS

its not the LEDS that make it quicker - just the latency timings of the memory as AD 64 takes advantage of low latency memory a LOT better than the intel platform.

The LEDS are just a gimmick to show how much memory's in use really
