    Cant overclock my FX55

    Ok so im now on air cooling again after a incedent with the water cooling.
    And for some reson i cant seem to overclock my FX55 by much at all.
    Heres my system specs :

    FX55 with XP120 cooler and Panaflo M1a fan
    Abit AV8
    1gb OCZ PC4400 EL Gold
    XFX 6800GT
    SB audigy 2
    2x Raptors

    Now the mobo overclocks it slightly at stock and bumps it to 204FSB and even this isnt prime stable, I have to up the volts to 1.55 to get stability here, moving to 210 FSB I cant get it stable, tryed up to 1.65v with no luck, I notice the Hexus guys got to 216 FSB with ony 1.6v which makes me think that theres possably something else here holding me back?

    Any advice is appreciated

    You're just gone from a waterblock to an hsf. Did you reapply the TIM properly? And, did you check the hsf is mounted nicely?

    They're the only two I can think of.

    Blimey, you've got the XP120... quite a mammoth cooler.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Yea that was my first thought as the hsf is very tight at mounting, checked 3 times now, even reapplyed paste on the morthbridge heatsink.
    Temps go above 60 but heatsink doesnt get that warm, looking at abits forums it seems there is a issue with this board in that it doenst record temps correctly.
