    Formatting A Hard Drive

My old HD on my second PC has died and I'm going to replace it in the next few days.

I have never had to replace or format a HD before so was wondering if someone could tell me how to do this please.

I can replace the HD myself but what do I do once I boot up to format the HD for NTFS?

    Thanks

When you boot up with the XP install cd you will be taken through partitioning and formatting the drive. It's a straightforward operation.
