    Upgrading from a logitech g5 :D

So....I've started to notice my g5 isn't cutting it anymore....so looking to upgrade! (think my sensor is finally going)

Any suggestions would be great, I'd like logitech but have considered razer mice....Budget is £50

Not interested in wireless! has to be wired, don't care for lots of buttons either so a cheaper mouse is not an issue....

Saw these going cheap on HUKD, a pretty solid mouse which I think meets the criteria you set out. Quite good at £18 too...

There was another mouse which caught my eye for simply being eye catching, and the reviews are very positive.

    Re: Upgrading from a logitech g5 :D

I'm running a G400s, picked it up for ~£30 after Christmas. I'm really pleased with it, it replaced my Razer Diamondback from 2007, which to put it politely was worn out. I had already had to replace the left click, with one of the side buttons, the pads had worn through and there was no rubberising left!

On the G400s, it appears to be the same body shape as the G5 (never used one), certainly feels almost identical to an MX518. The only thing I can see you missing for the G5 is the customisable weight, but I don't know whether that's a factor to you.

Be wary of the other logitech mice such as the G500s and G600s. I originally bought a G600s and it had the issue with a ringing ceramic cap in the scroll wheel PWM circuit, that resonates at 3rd haromnic creating a 15kHz buzz... highly annoying to say the least. I traded that in for a Sensei Raw... it felt nice, before the sensor started making a pulsing noise... 3rd time lucky i got the G400s. To be honest it feels nicer in my hand than either of the others did. The scroll wheel on the G600s was wobbly and felt dodgy due to the side scrolling mechanism and the clutch button.

All in all thumbs up for the G400s, does the job nicely without breaking the bank.
