When will we see other PCI-Express cards apart from GFX?

When will we see PCI-Express cards like soundcards, TV-cards, etc?

Haven't been keeping up with recent PCI-Express news, and can't recall any being mentioned.

I'll be upgrading to a PCIe RAID 5 card early next year (drop it in to replace my PCI model... bo selecta!)

They won't use 16 lane PCIe though, more like 1x.

I've seen a few PCI-Express network cards about on some specialist sites. What else needs that extra speed tho?

    See my above post

PCI can't handle more than 133MB/s - so that's less than a SATA burst at full rate. Add four SATA channels in RAID5 and you've got some serious sustained and burst potential there... cue PCIe!
