    PDA Car Mount

Hi all, just bought a HP Ipaq 2210 from ebay, and im wanting to mount it in the car, i've seen a few different mounts, but im wanting one that will allow the pda to be rotated to a landscape view, for playing videos etc. Can anyone reccommend one?

Also does anyone know how reliable the magnetic / suction mounted pda mounts are? They just dont seem secure enough to me

Thers a couple of mounts there that allow you to put the PDA in portrait, only problem is the price. Haven't tried a 2210 myself but the speaker on my PDA is arse so I purchased an amplified mount. Works a treat and has usb power outputs on the base to charge other stuff (mobile phone, bluetooth GPS, etc). The model I have is made by Arkon and was around £35 from ebay (new), it attach's via vent mount or suction cup. The suction cup is very strong and haven't had any problems in the 8 months I have been using it. One of the best systems is the smartclip, this has an individual clip for each type of car that attach's to a range or PDA holders. The clips are designed to be fitted in to the trim of the car without drilling or screws, they often attach between two bits of trim.

    Manufacturer Link

I have a similar one to this without the swivel, think it came from the same mob on ebay. Might be worth checking the spec on the manufacturers site. Very cheap but stays put and the speaker is more than loud enough for spoken directions. Are you lookin at sat nav?
