Question Asus Z97-A PWM & Corsair Obsidian 750D

Given wanting to use the stock fans that come with the Corsair Obsidian 750D with Asus Z97 - A motherboard fan headers. Will these respect PWM?

I am aware that the headers on these latest motherboards are not PWM despite having four pins. They seem to use voltage to control RPM instead.

For that matter, will these headers be able to do a good job at controlling other PWM fans? I know Asus likes to tout its FanXpert software a great deal...

    Asus say they are pwm:
" With PWM support on all fan headers and upgrades to software in both UEFI and Fan Xpert 3, ASUS Z97 Motherboards deliver unprecedented fan control."

Exactly the problem, check the motherboard manuals for the pin-out diagrams.

There is an inconsistency between the chassis fan description and the pin out diagram - but it isn't obvious which one is correct. It could be that the pin diagram is incorrect.

As I mentioned in the other thread the stock fans on the 750d are NOT pwm fans, so you you'll not get pwm control from any motherboard.

The pin out diagram shows the chassis fans have a +5v pin which is the pwm signal pin, but it's a +5v pwm signal not a +3.3v pwm signal, from my understanding a +5v pwm signal does not allow as large a range of speed fine control (lower minimum speed and larger steps in actual speed)
