Absolutely. SCAN is a retailer of computer systems and components. HEXUS Ltd is a Limited company that reports on technology and operates this website and also bit-tech.net.
The two companies (HEXUS and SCAN) are entirely independent. However, SCAN (like other companies that host forums here) have their own moderators, and (obviously!) anyone talking about a competitor retailer in those forums might reasonably expect those posts to be removed.
(I should add that the Admins/Mods with usernames orange or red text are not employees of either company :) HEXUS employees have blue usernames)

I don't use their forums, but I have heard this mentioned a lot - their mods sound like a proper bunch of jack-booted thugs.
You have to respect the rules, but it is a little harsh. I can understand why they do it mind.

Duly noted and thanks for clearing that up Peter.
Re: Has overclockers customer service improved?
In my single experience with Overclockers, the customer service was very fast to sort out my minor issue (wrong postcode :P ) and I have not had any bad experiences. Would recommend.
Re: Has overclockers customer service improved?
I've always found overclockers to be really good, if I have had any problems then they have helped me out.
I've also found scan very good. I did have an issue with the stated fans on my silver arrow SB-e, but they offered to return and refund them, unfortunately I couldn't get the fans I wanted (TY-143) was worth an ask though :)
