    Question Quiet PSU

Hi all wonder if you could give me some advice, i would like a quieter PSU and i've been looking at this one, Tagan TG480-U01 480W Silent PSU. What i would like to know is, are all psu's the same size ?? my case is an Enermax (CS-305) Black Twilight, would the Psu i have in mind fit my Case ?? what do you think of this Psu is it any good ??. Any advice would be most appreciated thanks in advance.

As long as the case is ATX - the tagan will fit fine. I built a fair few systems with the tagan and it is one of the better PSU's out there. Just be wary of the mass of cables that's usually left over that need to be hide out of sight somewhere

    Tagan!

    Hi,

I built a system a while ago and was some what dissapointed with the Tagan. It was quiet for about the first 5 minutes and then got quite noisy! Maybe a dudd one as everyone seems to praise them.

Quiet PSU's are quiet because the fans run slower and do not push a lot of air out of the case.

I replaced my Q-Tec 550W with the OCZ powerstream 470W, it's quieter, but I cannot feel any air being pushed out by the PSU fan and results in a higher case temp.

    Just my opinion though.

If you want silent - then get the Silverstone silent PSU Its not got a fan at all (perfect).

The Tagan is quiet although not a very powerful PSU, if you still want plenty of power the Enermax ones are very quiet (albeit a little more expensive), I have a Limited Edition Silver 480Watt Enermax, and its very quiet with the fan on minimum ... even has a fan speed output that you can connect to a motherboard header
