    Shuttle USB Remote

    Anyone know what this is like?

    I've found it for about 20 quid brand new which isnt bad . Its this one here:

    It's OK.....it works on other PC's with various results.

    The mouse replication function is cool, some of the buttons are good.

    I haven't tried turning my Shuttle on with it yet though....

    Can you program it to work with anything.. i.e. winamp ?

    You can't program this remote. It just does what each button is designed to do.
    It should work on any PC that has Windows & USB capabilities. We tried on on numerous setups without any probs. Only thing you can't do is turn on yer PC with the 'on' button - it will only bring it out of standby...

    Interested in one of these - and that aspect is a bit of a shame.

    But thinking about it, wouldn't remote on be very hard to implement. It would need specific BIOS support. Maybe that is something for Shuttle to think about

    ive got one as well. disapointed you carn't change anything. you don't need any drivers. just plug it in and off you go.

    works best with microsoft media player

    Its alright, the mouse control is one of the best BUT its infra red which is its major draw back. A better bet would be the ATI remote wonder or version 2 if you can find it yet.

    It's a novelty thing really....
    perhaps useful if your shuttle is your Home entertainment...it has limited use on other PC's aswell.
