Good place to buy a pre-built PC? got a £600 budget.

My sons friend has asked me for advice and i am finding it hard to get him a good spec pre-built pc for the money.

He wants to play games (Minecraft) at a high FPS 100+ i think, and wants to edit the videos and stick them onto You tube.

The PC he has found is this one..
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/VIBOX-Sharp-...words=vibox+i5

    22" Monitor,
    Headset,
Gamer's Keyboard & Mouse Complete Bundle

3.4GHz Intel, i5 4460 Quad Core Haswell Processor,
1GB nVidia Geforce GTX 750 Graphics Card,
    High Grade 400W PSU,
    1TB HDD Hard Drive,
    8GB Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz RAM,
    H81 SKT1150 motherboard,
    No Operating Software

I think he needs at least a i5 4670 and a 2GB GTX750 or R260X and an operating system (he had not realised it does not come with one)

    Any ideas?

    He has a £650 budget..

The only problem is the PC you listed probably has a crap PSU and a poor warranty. Once you add an OS,the total is closer to £700.

Plus MC will run fine on even an IGP so,any newish system with a modern card above £60 would probably be OK.

    This system with a Core i3 4160 and a R7 265 is around £512:

    http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/view/V...500-gaming-pc/

It comes with Windows and you can get a monitor for around £70 to £80:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Computer...rice+ascending

The PSU is a Corsair VS450W which is not the best one in the world but still miles better than the unbranded crap.

    Edit!!

    One from OcUK:

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...=43&catid=2479

Comes to around £510 with a GTX750TI and a copy of Windows. It has a better PSU than the previous one.

High Grade 400w PSU eh? That lot for £600 I'm guessing will be anything but "High grade" (that goes for other parts too, motherboard etc).
I hear good things of ukgc.

Re: Good place to buy a pre-built PC? got a £600 budget.

Looked at some of the Aria systems:

    http://www.aria.co.uk/Systems/Gaming...roductId=60729

You need to add another £75 for Windows though. It comes with a reasonably decent PSU for a pre-built PC and a 60GB SSD.

Looks like a balanced build TBH. There is on on offer for £455. So around £530 with Windows.

    Edit!!

The FX4300 system from OcUK comes with a headset too.

This one is not too bad:

    http://www.ebuyer.com/658256-chillbl...pc-cbfushield2

    PSU is OKish.

    Second Edit!!

    A few from Chillblast:

    http://www.chillblast.com/pconf.php?productid=19168

That system configured with a 500W FSP PSU,a 22" monitor, keyboard and mouse and headset comes to just under £700.

It comes with only a 120GB SSD even though it has a Haswell Core i5 and a HD7870. Its probably the most powerful of all the sub £700 systems I have seen so far though(once you include a monitor and OS).

    Looked at Cyberpowerpc.

    AMD system:

    https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/s...ltra_SCYLLA_SE

    Changes:
    1.)Upgraded to an FX6300
    2.)Downgraded HDD to 1TB
    3.)Upgraded graphics card to R7 265
4.)Upgraded PSU to CX600W(lower options seem meh models, and it is sad they don't offer the CX430W).
    5.)Changed motherboard to Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3P
    6.)Added monitor
7.)Added Corsair Raptor LH1 Evo Gaming Headset
8.)Added Cooler Master Devastator Gaming Keyboard & Mouse

    Total is £696.

    Intel system:

    https://www.cyberpowersystem.co.uk/s...y_Apollo_Elite

    Changes:
    1.)Upgraded graphics card to R7 265
2.)Upgraded PSU to CX600W(lower options seem meh models, and it is sad they don't offer the CX430W).
