    2 person, 2 computer desk

    Hi all,

Myself and my girlfriend have just moved into a new place. We both enjoy the odd computer game We are looking for a double computer desk that we can fit 2 computers, 2 monitors, 2 keyboards etc etc. Bearing in mind this will be in the living room, we are looking for something aesthetic, rather than industrial. Anyone have any suggestions? We could obviously put two side-by-side, but that may look a little strange in a living room too, plus take up a bit too much space as the maximum width we are after is 2m.

    Cheers all!

Facing each other or next to each other? Whats your budget? I've an ikea linmonn with 2 kallax propping it up, you could comfortably move them to the middle and sit at opposite ends of it.

    Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. We're ideally looking side-by-side - basically along a wall.

We're also ideally looking for a proper computer desk - ie a slide out shelf for keyboard and/or shelf for monitor so everything is at the correct height.

    Cheers!

If you want things to be at the right height, i would consider looking at monitor arms.

Re: 2 person, 2 computer desk

Maybe wall mount them oohh I can't stand slide out shelfs for keyboards.

IKEA does one sided shelf thingy (Kallax?) on the desks, but then that'll may look a bit too officey.

Funnily enough I've been looking around for desks, and I've come to the conclusion an open bottom desk is good for swivel chairs. Nothing worse than banging your knees and feet on bottom layer shelves.

Re: 2 person, 2 computer desk

Do you remember the one we've got in the study mate? It's from officesupermarket.co.uk - huge range of styles, and the 1800mm is fine for side by side use. They're slightly more office than living room, but get the right wood and it should look OK.

    Something like this maybe?:

    Hi all (and Kalniel!),

Thanks for the suggestions. Looking at the options and space we have, might give a bit of DIY a go as miko01 also suggested. Mental note: Must be careful not to end up drilling into next door's living room.

    Cheers!
