I have just made a new system up for my wee sis
its a Shuttle SN45Gv3 Case/mobo/Psu with:
2x256mb PC3200
+2500 XP Barton Mobile
FX5700LE 128mb
Samsung DVD-rom/CDRW
8-1 card reader
Maxtor 80 7,200rpm 133 IDE HD
The problem:
When you touch the Alu case and another metal case you get a current flow through you. if you touch the alu case and a desk you dont. Both items have rubber feet so they will be isolated and not grounded I would think.
Should the PC do this?
I havent altered the case design so I dont understand why im getting a current off the PC. The other metal case isn't doing this so it has to be the pc.
Do i have to run a grounding cable from the pc to stop this current? Also isn't it a bit worrying that its doing it in the first place? I always though the PC power systems and Mobo was isolated from the rest of the case to stop this issue?
