TN monitor?

I was thinking of changing my monitor which a 7 year old dell 24" VA panel its on the blink now.
Thinking of buying a TN monitor or even a new 4k ones. The disadvantages of TN panels are always colour reproduction and viewing angles. Advantage of course is price.

I don't really do much photoshop graphic design work on a professional level. Just gaming and browsing the internet.

I always sit straight in front of the monitor so viewing angles not really an issue for me. So I'm wondering how much of a disadvantage a TN panel really is? At least in my case.

We can't answer for you, but if you don't care about colour accuracy or fine distinction, then TN can be a great choice for gaming. One of our monitors is TN (albeit one rated well for colours) and it's fine.

In what aspect? Colours, no. Response times yes. There are good monitors and there are bad ones, so the quality is much the same as it was always.
