pci-e riser/pci-e extension cable

So i'm in the process of rebuilding my media center (the one i won )

So to start i am thinking that i want to keep it cheap so AMD is the chip i shall be using. It's main dutys will be running netflix XD

But i want to build it into the case i won so a low profile gpu is needed....or is it

So i have every intention of making my own riser card

I have looked at video's and image's, as well as logs that other people have done but something i wondered, is if any of the hexus lot have made one, or used one before and can give any tips?

Forget making your own riser/extension because PCIe risers are readily available for much less than what the parts alone would cost you!

Head to ebay and search for PCIe risers, that's where I get mine.

This is true, but i like to be difficult and it needs to be fairly long to fit in with the theme i have planned

Why add a gfx card? I'm running a Kabini for watching blurays, MKVs, netflix etc. Can't really get any cheaper or low powered. Absolutely ideal for a media center.
