Hard Drive slave and master?

Hello, I have a shuttle machine (SN45G) and recently I have tried fitting a Titan Copper cooler to my noisy 9800 Pro. I did it after around 2 hours of trying and then when I booted up the PC, it seems that the my primary Master has changed round with my slave and so the PC is running ridiculously slowly. I think this belongs in here and not in SFF PCs as it isn't shuttle specific. Please, please can you help me and tell me what to do, many thanks, Alex

Did you mess with any of the Ide cables or the jumpers?

Errrr, well I didnt purposfully change the jumpers (I have no idea what they do and so i dont think I did) The IDE cables were previusoly the right way round and I connected them like they were before but then it said that the wrong one was primary master and so the wrong way around. I changed the cables again and it hasnt corrected the problem I dont think. On the previous attempt it said that I need to reset the frequency of the CPU ?? :S
