The two USB headers in a shuttle SN41G2!

Ok I have two header inside the mobo one on the left of the AGP slot which seems to be the usb ports on the front and another one which also had a cable plugged into. I pulled the 2nd cable out to plug a wireless module in and everything seems to work…. So what was the 2nd port used for? If it was USB?
