Advice on a64 nforce 3 mobo's!

Hi All

Well to cut a long story short, I have used intel for the last 2 - 3 years and i haven't been keeping up on the AND front. I am looking at buying a a64 939 3500+ cpu. Iknow there are mobo's out there that have the via K8T800 chipset and the nforce 3 chipset. I have heard good things about the nf3 chipset, problem is i have no idea as to which one to get, basically i am after the one that will allow me to overclock the 3500+ and performs well, so really a top end board, only one i can find is the MSI one but seeing it in action at a mates house i wasn't impressed with the mobo.

Can anyone help or give advice to the best a64 939 nf3 mobo.

DFI are releasing a 939 board early next year and if you can wait it should be worth it

are you sticking to agp or is pci-xpress an option?

most likely a pci express mobo was looking at nforce 4 but £150+ for a mobo is a little steep

The ASUS A8N DeLuxe SLI is £120 inc VAT so I imagine that the non-SLI will be cheaper.

just been looking at the SLi mobo and I am tempted a lot by it as Komplett are doing 2 x 6600GT Sli PCI-Express cards for £360

Seeing as one 6800GT will outperform the two 6600GTs I don't see why you would want to go that route.

As for the NF4 boards - Komplett have already revoked sales at a lower price, and so I would be a little wary. Nobody has them in stock yet. I wonder how many Asus SLIs actually get sold at £120?

CPU City are even cheaper than Komplett & other retailers are around the same price so that looks like that's the genuine price.

That's only because they are the only nForce 4 board so far - once the others start appearing they will be cheaper.
