I feel better now I have 1gig again

1 gig of PC2700 and Im happy again.
Knoxxy now has my 512 of copper clad PC3500 and I have his 1 gig of vanilla Twin mos.....
and frankly....Im happy again

IL2:FB runs a lot nicer with a gig over 512mb, especially hosting games.

As does PlanetSide, dunno is Zak plays that though. Any system I build for my self now I always stick a gig in it.

For the stuff I do on a regular basis (rendering and image editing) 1GB is minimum! My main rig has 1.5GB and at times I'm struggling!

IL2.....the man is right/\ cos hosting is vital, and even the single player runs better....

specially when ya think of all the apps running in Windows in the back ground plus zome alarm, and my Broad Bean connection too .

I can feel the difference right now.....why esle would I swap 1/2 gig of expensive stuff for 1 gig of vanilla memory (no offense Knox)

If you have alot of windows open at the same time 1 gig makes a difference it not just some games it improves

Must admit ive notice a slight increase in load times of certain games with 1gig.

If only i have a proper use for my system.

512 just seems to run out of space at times and I too vouch for the improvement a whole Gig makes. I like my gams to load with the merest of pauses, if I chose to open word I want it to opop up as fast as note pad would. Editing photos at high res is so mauch faster

Glad you like it dude, i'll be upgrading to an overclocking rig soon so the mushkin will come into its own even more then
