I just ran HD tach and it seems my drives performance is realy messed up! What could cause all the ups and downs?

On my non-RAIDed drive i get a smooth but wobbly line (not like yours), looks like the bottom values would be similar to a single drive and the top values to a RAIDed drive, just guessing here though.

where myth gets 197Mb/s, i get 2.2 mb/s . Does anyone know wy it is so low ?

My hdd is seagate barracuda 40GB 7200rpm,cpu= 2100+ athlon xp 0.18 micron and my motehrboard is ga-7zxe

i alsoget 100% cpu utilisation while running this. Someone PLEASE HELP ASAP. I am expereincing lag ven on winamp audio !!! and IE.

Test the drives independently and check what each gets. If in doubt run WD tools to check em

I don't think you can test them independently, a RAID0 array only shows as one drive in HD Tach.
