    Silent PSU Suggestions

I need to get a silent PSU for a new system I am building. I was currently leaning toward a Zalman ZM400B-APS 400W

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Zalman_psu.html

My max budget on a PSU is about £70 I dont really want to go anymore then that, but I need something with at least 400w output, and the quieter the better... Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers

    -Leonard

Tagans are pretty quiet. Never seen/heard those Zalman's in action so can't comment.

you wont hear these thigns in actions, honestly they are silent without giving heat off, as if you open one up, (and take away the masses of dust) youll see there are maaassive heatsinks all around it, i wouldnt suggest anything other than these for silence and performance in one

First off buy off a decent company such as Kustom PCs, Extreme Prometeia or Over-clock (they won't still your money) and for that amount of money I would go for a Tagan 480w. More power and better rails overall.

Their has been lots of great opinions on the tagan and imho it is the best sub £100 PSU money can buy. I did have one before I got a PCP+C which is the daddy of PSUs.

When I first turned on my Tagan I thought it was broken till I saw the post screen thats how quiet it is
