    Ulimate Gaming Device

Hi, some of you may have read the best gaming mouse thread I started. As I've now got my mouse sorted I was wondering now what is the best device you can use for gaming.

The reason I want to know is that I play games on-line using the classic WSAD key layout. The problem I have is that once in a while I might hit the wrong key. The main annoyance I find is that I use the Caps Lock button a lot to switch weapons normally Doom3 or Counter Strike). This means most of the time when I group talk I shout (Capitals). I currently have the Logitech Internet Explorer Special Edition which I have to say is the best keyboard I've ever owned, even thohugh I msiing the install drivers and software.

I've read some things about the Z Board (Very Mixed Reviews) and the Belkin n52 Speedpad (Sounds good but not sure if I want to learn something new ). So the question is ... What do people find helps them do the best in the games they play ?

    • Keyboard, if so which make
    • Gaming Device
    • Controller
    • Other ???

Thumbs up for the n52 - fantastic device - the best thing is you don't have to learn something new - you can run it just as the left side of your keyboard if you want (well, plus a dpad, wheel, and a couple more buttons), and gradually add macros shift states when you want to.

Tried the zboard (felt cheap, extra bits for it are pricey and are big as a n52 anyhow!), the older n50 (not enough buttons), a microsoft strategic commander (just poo), and several other cheapy ones.

But don't you find any of these things more of a gimmick, than something that really helps ??
