    Question Memory Upgrade Advice

    Hey people,
    I am again in need of Hexus expertise. I currently have 2 x 256Mb of Winbond 3200 (running at 200Mhz with 2-6-3-3 timings) in my main machine. However this desperately needs upgrading to a gig.

    My question is what memory would you recommend me to use that can match the speeds of my Winbond.

    Any help very much appreciated,

    Well Twinmos 3200 uses winbond chips, and often will run at the speeds yours is. (mine is)

    It's likely but not guaranteed as those speeds are not stock. £44 for 512mb

    Or you could get mem guaranteed to 2-2-2-5......no worries apart from the bill on that one. £77 for 512mb.

    If you're going to ever use the memory in dual mode then I'd suggest popping along to the Crucial site and picking up a couple of sticks of Ballistix 3200. Don't miss the "coupon" which knocks another 4% off the price. Delivery is free too.

    Thanks guys for taking the time to offer me advice. I think I will be getting the twinmos from komplett. It is a bargain price, shame about the £5 delivery though
