    Gaming Laptop Advice

I'm looking to get a gaming laptop to use when I'm away from my desktop setup and cant stop procrastinating over my last two options!

Is it better and do I get either

    I7 4710Q 6MB Cache 2.5Ghz Turbo upto 3.5Ghz
    16 RAM DDR3 1600MHz
    8GB NVIDIA 880M

    Or

    I7 4710Q 8MB Cache 2.5Ghx Turbo upto 4.1Ghz
    120Hz 3D Monitor
    16GB RAM DDR3
    2GB NVIDIA 860M

Not sure what I would benefit from for gaming, the extra CPU power and faster monitor or more RAM in a better GPU!?!?!?!

There is a £100 difference, the second one being more expensive.

    Thank you for your opinions.

Your second CPU spec is nonsense. You've got it listed as the same model number and as far as I can see there are no i7s that meet the clock speed claims. Can you clarify what it is.

Probably not, depending on what model the second CPU is.
Possibly, especially if the resolution isn't particularly high
    No. A downclocked GK104 won't use 8GB of RAM.
Yes, an 880M should give you a higher framerate.

They're both capable machines. If you're happy with the important elements like screen quality and cooling noise levels on both then I'd be inclined to go for the first as it'll run games better.

On a 3D screen the 860M would struggle. I think.

The first laptop looks a lot more acceptable. Too bad you can't wait for the new nVidia Maxwell mobile GPUs.
Also, 8GB of VRAM? Talk about overkill.
