    Value help needed quick...

I am possibly looking to sell now and rebuild with whatever money I get from my current PC, and Christmas... So here is my system...

    P4 2.8Ghz w/ HT (478pin) - CoolerMaster Fan
    Asus P4SD-VX Mobo
    1024MB Samsung PC2700 RAM
    120GB ATA100 7200rpm HDD (OEM)
    Geforce fx5200 128mb (Dual Head)
    Audigy 2 6.1
    6 USB (4 rear, 2 front)
    2 FireWire (1 rear, 1 front)
    LAN (1/100)
    Optical in
    Sony 8x DVD-R/RW
    Samsung 16x DVD-Rom
    FDD
Sony Vaio Casing (as it is a slightly upgraded PCV-RS246)
    300W PSU

Depending on how much extra people are willing to pay on top there is also (ie whether I can get more selling these bits seperately):

    Sony HS53B 15" LCD TFT
Microsoft Elite Wireless Keyboard and Mouse
    Creative Megaworks 250Ds

It is little over a year old, and all in all I have spent in excess of £1700
    *OEM ASUS P4SD-VX -P4 2.8Ghz w/ HT - 1024MB PC2700 RAM - Soon to be XFX 6600GT AGP - Audigy 2 6.1 (w/ Creative Megaworks 250Ds) - Sony 8x DVD +/- RW & Samsung 16x DVD-ROM - IDE 120GB 7.2krpm (30/90 partition) - 20GB Apple iPod 3g - Sony 15" HS53B - 2MBPS connection*

Indeed... around a year ago this was quite shizzle-ish (- the gfx card)... Either way... anyone got an estimate?

The parts aren't too shabby - and you get a decent software package with it... all of this however, differs from the point of this thread... Now I estimate £700ish all in all - am I right?

You would have to sell it separately, £600 in parts and £500 all in may be £20 more for each? Really let down by the graphics card....

Well I am considering getting a better GFX card for Christmas... But I would spend £200... So I figured why not sell up - add the £200, and build a better PC... Really only £650ish max?

Totally disagree with selling the parts. In today's market they're either old tech or at least comfortably behind the leading edge. People who buy parts know computers and won't pay more than they're worth, which is somewhere around 50%-75% of what you would pay for for them now.

However you might get something as an all in one Sony (with the monitor etc.). I've seen complete n00bs pay well over the odds for complete machines with a name on them... um like you did a year ago

Yes don't rub it in... I already feel stupid enough as is! Either way I was working out it individually and think you are right... I just don't want to lose out!
