I wouldn't say vibrations are that bad as long as the case is "normal". Would rather watch the temperatures. I read somewhere that most of the dying disk do that once they exceeded 40 degrees.
NAS rated drives (usually slower that 7200RPM, typically 5400-5900RPM) are cooler, vibrate less and tend to last longer (plus are certified for 24/7 run and enjoy longer warranty).
Also if 1TB, could choose a 2.5" SSHD, if size would be ever a worry.
Still prefer Hitachi over others, WD over SeaGate, slow drives (5400-5900RPM) over fast drives (7200-10000RPM).

Actually drives like to be a bit warm.
They hate vibration though. Things like all the heads in the array swinging in unison is enough to cause problems. Even loud noises can cause seek errors and performance degradation.
