is there such thing as an external hard disk rack that would hold 3-4 hard drives and be connected to my pc by usb2? also it can handle both pata and sata?
am i dreaming or does one exist?

http://www.gladiatorcomputers.com/ac...cessories.html has a wireless single 2.5" drive enclosure. I'm sure I've seen multiple drives, but I can't find the link :(
thanks mate, but my main priority is for at least 3 drives, i dont want to get separate enclosures. ive seen some on usa sites but nothing uk based.
The external ones tend to be SCSI, for example http://www.lindy.com/uk/catalog/10/04/index.php - can't find any IDE ones at the mo :(
Probably not the most elegant of solutions, but have you considered buying a cheap second hand low spec system and just fitting extra drives to it and making your own file server ?
