go with the epson printers
No, please don't. Go with Canon instead.
I really don't like Epsons - I just generally find them annoying and not very good. Can't really comment on other brands such as HP, but all the other well known brands have been fine for me. I personally prefer Canon, never had any problems and always easy to use.
No. Dont even think about it. It'll all end in tears.Quote:

12 quid over, but it looks like a good printer.
Ebuyer have some in your range, but are out of stock at the moment.
How about http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=73084 ?
Just looked at Ebuyer, can't believe there are still 9-pin Dot Matrix printers (remember them?) being sold at £300+! I know they're for businesses that need impact printing for carbon copies, but surely just printing out four copies of something with a laser/inkjet would be quicker and cheaper.
Well, there you go, two separate recommendations, what more can you want? There's also the 1500 which is about £20 less, but not in stock at the moment.
Not always possible sometime you have to print onto other peoples roller fed preprinted paper.Quote:

If they're high capacity DM printers, LOTS of companies use them (mine included) for cheque runs, financial outputs, all that sort of thing. Most of the time they're actually a LOT cheaper to run than a laser, and if you're doing a run of year-end financials for a large organization you don't want that on A4. We have three old Mannesmann Tallys and they're (I kid you not) CRUCIAL to our Accounts Dept. Hence the maintenance contract we have on them.
/muffled sounds, from behind Agents hand, cos he's holding it over my mouth...
[muffled]Epson[/muffled]
I don't find Epson a problem. I've had Lexmark (yes, yes, i know) and HP and they've been extremely expensive to run. I would suggest not touching the cheap Epson like C46 and maybe going with a C66 which are about £69 and are good quality and cheap inks (genuine as well. I sell them for only £7.99 a colour..... £19.99 for black, heh)
My thoughts however, lol
agent hit it on the head with the ip2000 , best printer for that price i rekon
if your going to get an epson it only makes sense to go for the more expensive ones :)
i only said epson cause its cheapt but in reality i dont really like them, hp and canon are the top brands in my book. ;)  :p
What about a black and white laser ? Just brought a Samsung ML-1510 lately, such a lovely printer , even with toner save on.
for photos? :shocked2:
Monochrome Fetishes are so “in” at the moment. Get with the times man :rockon:Quote:

Still if you want to stick with the laser technology and want colour as well, i suppose you could go with a Konica Minolta Magicolour 2300W (typical british spelling). However, this is roughly £300+.
Poor guy, and all he wanted was a decent printer for under £50. haha
Drew
ive had no problem with epson in the past superb quality prints, even with compatible carts!
PCWorld currently have the ML1520 for £40! :) A week after I paid £70 for my ML1510 of course! :(Quote:

I seen the Samsung ML-1510 for £49.99 at Office World.
