Moar Wireless!

Impressed with the wireless headset and freedom it has given me, I'm now looking at replacing my aged and slightly broken (very) old white Xbox 360 wired controller. It still works, just about, but the wire has always been a problem.

I understand the new Xbox One wireless controller won't work with Windows without using the USB cable and that MS are bringing out a receiver for it later this year, but I like the feel of the 360 controller and am used to it, so happy with a wireless version.

The basic controller appears to be ~£32, but it uses AA batteries. I can't be bothered with swapping out batteries to charge them, so want a battery pack and/or a charger (perhaps there is one that doubles as a receiver through USB?).

And to confirm, does the controller come with the receiver that plugs in to the PC, or do I have to buy that separately?

if its the 360 version then buy a play and charge kit, 22 quid seems a bit excessive tbh, can buy the controllers for less than that. There are alternatives to the MS one.

I know, but I like the feel of the Xbox 360 controller, so would prefer to stick with it.

Still unsure if the package I linked above is everything I need in one box, would like confirmation before I buy it.

Yup that's pretty much what you want.....although I think all the "XBOX 360 wireless controller for Windows" have the receiver with them.......

I use my Xbox one controller which I use on the PC. All it needs is the oh so popular micro-USB cable that is used for charging lots of devices out there and it works well. As soon as the wireless reciever is out for PC for these, I too shall be getting one as well

As for batteries - I recommend MS official plug and charge kits myself - I've lots of various 3rd parties for the xbox 360 and they've all failed yet the MS official ones are still going on strong.
