Re: Which 970 gtx should I buy?

Any of the big brands are solid choices, those primarily being ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and EVGA. Compare the clockspeeds vs price and just decide what seems best value to you.

There's also a warranty breakdown here:

For the most part its just brand loyalty though, any of the major brands will give you a solid product with a good warranty.

Try and avoid XFX if you can, else the cheapest is usually good; or pay a bit extra for a custom cooled version.

    I have 2 MSI 970s
    They both work great
    So I would recommend MSI

Re: Which 970 gtx should I buy?

All my previously purchased cards were XFX and haven't had the slightest problems with them.
Under load reasonable sound levels (driver set 60% FAN speed) and overclock-ability to Max out the drivers given limit without issues.

Re: Which 970 gtx should I buy?

I can't sing MSI cards praises enough at the moment, the twin frozr series in particular are phenomenal cards for the price.

MY GTX 770 cards are heavily overclocked and haven't given me any issues for well over a few years. They are silent with no coil whine at all unless I run Seti@home on the system and then they chirp a little at times.

Re: Which 970 gtx should I buy?

Asus cards, especially the direct cu2 versions are well built and the cooler is awesome. Really allows your to push the overclock up, depending on your needs.
