    is this right?!?

its another temperature question. my system temp is 32C, this stays the same pretty much whatever. However my CPU is usually around 49C idle and goes up to 55/56C under load, playing games mostly. surely this is too hot for an AthlonXP 2600+. i also get random reboots mostly when playing games so im sure its linked. thing is what can i do? i am using an Aerocool Glacier CPU heatsink/fan.

hmm, sounds odd and could be related. My system idles at 36C and under load can go up to 46C depending on the heat of the room etc.

The a-core 2600+ are very hot by nature, get an slk and a 92mm fan, should sort it out.

That fan is pretty good performance. I can't see why its underperforming. Try upgrading to an SLK or an Aero7+ Should work quite well.

Is your system overclocked in anyway?

Nothing wrong with 55/56C under load IMO

if you think its heat releated take off your sidepanel and put a desk fan next to the pc, play the pc or put it on 3dmark for a few hours and see if it resets, imo those temps are fine but do you have any extra case fans pumping air into the case?

also your psu could be the problem whats your full system spec and what psu are you using?

2 is adequate.. id suggest a 400w+ PSU personally. I had the same problem on a 350w, upgraded to a 400w and its fine.
