Desktop USB Hub and headphone jack.

    Peeps

i am trying to find a solution to a small problem.

My Darling wife has decided to remove my computer desk from the kitchen and stick my pc on the dining table ( which is better than it sounds ) to give me more space to work and generally free up some dining room space. My PC is now stuck under the table and out of the way, but it has given me 2 new problems.

    1. I now have to crawl on all fours to plug in my gaming headphones whenever i want to use them
    2. same as above but with USB sticks

I am looking for a solution where i can run a USB hub with a headphone and preferably a mic jack, attach to the base of my monitor and save my knees. i have found a few USB hubs but none that have both.

This is the kinda think i am looking for, but with more desktop friendlyness.

Anyone seen anythink like this on the market? I have been googling for stuff but nothing coming up.

How about this HP branded port replicator thingy.

Here is another Toshiba branded one.

Even neater, the Ekit Multi Desk Hub.

Notice that cheap USB audio solutions usually give you a faint humming/buzzing noise on the headphones while idle, so are not suitable for audiophiles. Because the Ekit hub takes audio straight from the audio out of your computer's sound card it will likely sound the best.

Those are more like it. Thanks for that. Ideally looking for something that can be mounted more like this.

Here is a USB 3.0 enabled USB/Audio replicator (you would also need to buy a USB extension cable).

As for mounting, self adhesive velcro tape.

The HP one can be placed flat on the table.

That's the one for me. I will check the size under my monitor and if it fits I will get it.

    Thanks
