just built one last night. usual solid machine. fairly quiet. nothingfancy. if not alittle low on extra ports compared to some of the new ones but for the price cant complain
It is only going to be a slave machine to play music to my ICECAST server!!!
I think it should be good enough

If it is just a slave machine, wouldn't you be better getting a machine with onboard graphics, say the SN41G2v2
yeah i built one of those recently as well and was impressed with it and includes dual vga output onboard.
only problem i had with it compared to the sn45g was getting the ram to work properly. both times used Geil value dual channel
Which Model had ram issues?

Ive had no RAM Problems with my SN41G2, its had generic, Kingston and now crucial in it...
whatever you do don't change the vDimm
