    Best power supply?

I'd like to see which would be the best power supply to buy for:

    1 x A64 3500+ Winchester (hopefully)
    1 x Asus board
    2 x 512MB RAM
    2 x DVD writer
    1 x GeForce 6800
    1 x 160GB SATA HDD

    400W okay?

I'm currently leaning towards a Zalman model... quiet is very good in my book!

    Thanks in advance.

Go for a Tagan if you can afford it, it's geared for BTX, has dedicated molexs for HDD/ GPU's and is 100% silent

Last report I heard of them ticking was a fair few months ago. Spoke to a guy from Tagan who assured me there wasn't a problem any more.

Absolutly spanking! Got one humming in my machine, none too noisy, great looking finish, nice green LED glow and adjustable voltage rails.

I've got a Tagan 480W - no problems, and is generally a nice PSU - dedicated VGA molexes, comes with velcro bands to tidy up cables, compatible with PCI Express and BTX so it should last a while, etc.

Even an Antec 380 would be fine, but I'd go for a 480 if you want to have room for expansion and no worries about instability.
