Laptops & Windows 10 turning on for no apparent reason.

More of a heads up on this.
If you have a laptop running windows 10 you may find it waking from sleep or hibernation & staying awake until you next open the lid as has happened twice to me. I am running fresh installs then formatted and reinstalled again 2 days ago to rule out anything else. It was on again this morning due to windows 10 having "allow important wake timers" as a new option in power options for windows update.

I found this in my event viewer.

    Code:
Wake Source: Unknown, but possibly due to timer - Windows will execute 'NT TASK\Microsoft\Windows\UpdateOrchestrator\Reboot' scheduled task that requested waking the computer.
Then a google took me here http://www.howtogeek.com/122954/how-...-accidentally/

Worth disabling this on laptops, and main PC's if you do not want it to wake up for no real good reason.

I went and saw a customer Thursday and he said that he'd switched his off Wednesday night and got up Thursday morning and it was back on.

I think it is a poor show from Microsoft, I wonder if they will change this default behavior when the complaints of trashed laptops roll in.

afaik a full power off stops this but sleep and hibernation allow wake timers from software.

Did you know this or can you get a few brownie points by telling them?
