    Removing ATi Onboard fan

    I've got an ATi Graphics card (9100)

    and i'd like to change the fan on its heatsink, ive got a fan which i'd like to replace it with. I want to power this new fan from a molex connector.

    would there be any problems with the card if i disconnected the onboard fan from its header?

    like the card having extra volts inside it, not being able to use them up in the fan???

    Thanks

    m0.

    Shouldn't be a problem - the card will draw less power from the AGP port.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    The only time I can see you having an issue is if any fan speed monitoring occurs and the board thinks the fan has failed. Otherwise I see no problem.
    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();
