lol. I see what you did there.

Not had to RMA to eBuyer but have found the sales process to be very quick and hassle free.

Ebuyer's RMA process is the worst I've ever come across. Avoid.

    Re: ebuyer

Ebuyer keep fobbing me off with partial refunds, rather than getting things repaired. Last time it took me over a week, bouncing enotes back and forth twice a day , before we agreed on a fair refund amount. On the upside, they gave me a free return postage label, something I hadn't even asked them for.

In a nutshell: They are digging themselves their own graves. Getting a yearly Amazon Prime subscription was the best investment I have ever made. I have no idea how I coped without it before hand.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Two for, two against. Summoner, I've spent several hours on livechat, on the phone and writing emails chasing up my RMA. I'm currently 45 days into the 28 day RMA process - from the sounds of it you've had a better experience with ebuyer than I have... I suppose I'll do a bit more digging

    Re: ebuyer

    45days?

You are a saint! I would have stopped talking to them after 30 days and phoned my credit card company for a refund instead (If you pay by credit card for something that costs £100 or more, the retailer and credit card issuer are jointly liable).

By the way, I do agree with KeyboardDemon on them having a slick sales process. Orders are packed/dispatched until late at night (11:00pm I believe) and every time I ask their business advisors a question I end up with a free next day delivery voucher, provided I order immediately.

    Re: ebuyer

As far as I know there isn't anything I can do besides pestering them. The value of the board is too low (£93 I believe) for small claims to be worth it. I paid with paypal, and as far as I know they don't care about me past a month or so. Either way, now hopefully you can see why I'm looking into ebuyer's RMA process

    Re: ebuyer

You could post on their Facebook page, asking them why after 45days you still don't have your repaired motherboard/a replacement.
Retailers tend to switch up one gear when they are put in the spotlight like that.

Ebuyer used to be really awful for returns, but some years ago they seemed to up their game enough that I don't worry about that when ordering from them.

Unfortunately, most do the same, even Scan who wanted to give me a pittance for a high-end headset that was barely 6 months old.

I've had a couple of RMAs with ebuyer which were absolutely fine, and I've always found their support staff quite helpful when I've spoken to them, although it's been several years since I last had cause to. I've certainly never found a reason to avoid dealing with them.

    Re: ebuyer

Used ebuyer for many years, many purchases, always new items.

First time this year had to RMA an item, item was classed as exdisplay but received not as described.

Conversation with support staff was strained to put it politely, I got a distinct feeling they didn't wish to accept RMA.

Once they received return within 7 days or so got my money back, without hassle. I did think they should have paid for return postage but I had to.

I would never buy a not new item from them again and now try to avoid buying from them in the first place for even new items after this very first RMA experience with them.

That did it, after a little while talking to their guy on facebook (after I posted), the RMA was settled with a full refund. 55 days - one day short of doubling their limit. Thanks for the advice
