    Testing an Optical Drive

I've got problems with my blu ray drive when trying to rip a using EAC. I am very experienced with that program so I dont think I am doing anything wrong with it, but its throwing up all sorts of errors and saying it will take 9 hours to rip no matter what cd I use.

Is there a program which can run tests on an optical drive to see if it is a hardware problen, which I think it is.

    Thanks

Is it a Pioneer? I had the same issue with my 209, made the error correction go mental.

Mrs had a load of audiobooks she wanted converting to MP3 for her car so in the end I just read the discs to bin/cue in ImgBurn (no errors at all), mounted in Daemon tools and read from the Virtual drive in EAC. Worked wonderfully.

Hi Virtuo, yes that model exactly for some reason! How weird. I will just swap it out

    Thanks for your thoughts
