    rig im thinking about

    AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester 90nm
    Abit AV8 3RD Eye (Socket 939) Motherboard (does all mobos come with ie ports? and is it just SATA ports tht rnt on every mobo?)

    OcUK Value Rainbow Series Case Dark Blue With 350W PSU

    proberly gonna use the hs and fan in the box of the winchester but if u think i shouldnt i would go for this

    Coolermaster Hyper48 Cooler

    plus ill have 2 back fans and maybe one front

    ill be putting my old ram which is 333 mhz/pc2700 untill i can afford new dual channel pc3200
    and putting my fx5200 in and also the hd and my drives tht i have on this pc in

    ill only replace the ram and grfx card tbh

    can i have some advice? it would be much appreciated

    also with the mobo does all the sound cables and **** come with? never brought a pc in bits tbh always had them put together bt i can build it as im taking apart this pc atm

    TBH I would say this is your only sort of bad point as you've said you'd upgrade your GFX and ram.For me value and psu just dont go.You'd be well advised to get a good 460-480 watt psu.It's worth spending £45-£50 on a top psu.Like a antec or a enermax.If your buying a new gfx card some require a minimum of a 460watt psu to run but this is debatable...

    when i get a new grafix card id get a 480w antec or something tht is gd

    Also, the motherboard may need a BIOS flash to accept the winchester core cpu's - check with the retailer to see.

    as also stated, ur bios will proberly need flashing, just put one stick of ram into slot 3 then u should be ok to flash it with the winnie in

    btw, does the ASUS AV8 939 mobo need flashing too in order to accept winnie?

    Actually i was gonna do exactly the same upgrade as Destroyer^, except i'll keep 384 mb PC-266 ram and GF2 Ti from my current PC (hope to replace them when GF 6800 price drops to ~$200)

    ps. are the additional case fans a must with this rig or just a gimmick?
