    Standalone printer-scanner

Hello, hope you all had a nice Christmas.

My grandparents want an all-in-one printer scanner combo that can standalone. They do not have a PC, but do have a digital camera.

I have read around and the Epson Stylus Photo RX600 seems to be fairly good. Although I have heard mention of paper feed problems.

Would you recommend this printer, or know of a superior alternative?

    Thanks,

    Anders.

Budget? I like the HP PSC 2355 personally. Very nice printer.

Any particular reason? I have not had problems with them in the past.

Do you know of an alternative standalone printer?

After further discussion with my Granddad I discovered he primarily wants to use this printer to print copies of his slides.

The Epson rx600 has a transparency unit. I am trying to find other printers with a function like this.

Along with the HP PSC2355 recommended above, I have been comparing the HP P2610 and the Canon MP390. I have not established if these have transparency support.
