Fan bus, or silent fans?
Hi there, ive just installed my PC into my new thermaltake tsunami case. I'm really liking it. The only problem i have is with the noise of the the two 120mm fans. The question i'd like to ask is, is it worth replacing both with silentx fans, or something similar. Or can i just use the cheaper option of fan/bu or 7ving the the fans for a similar effect? The system is not oveclocked. But i would like some ventillation!

Try 7v first. You can do it with a needle and about 10m of your time. If its still too loud you can try 5v.

how do u 7v with just a needle?

Jonny-B, did you get around to doing anything with the 120mm case fans on the Thermaltake Tsunami case? The reason I ask is that I also have this case although i've not assembled my new PC yet (still waiting for a few bits to arrive). If you've managed to silence the Tsunami case then i'd be interested to know what you have done as I can play around with the case until my motherboard and graphics card arrive.

i think he 7v'd them, the case is nice and quiet now and his girlfriend no longer complains about the racket! ;) but i'll ask him to get back to you for sure

Could anyone explain how you 7v'd a case fan? Sounds interesting.

You can do-it-yourself, or you can buy a converter.
(I <3 google.com, because until you asked I didn’t have a clue either!)

Quite clever. I may have to try that.
