where can i read about RAM timings cause its puzzling me wht they actually mean =s seen ppl talk about them and weant to udnerstand wht they mean/are

I'm in the same situation as you. I posted a thread about overclocking a few months ago, and someone helped me over MSN. But he just said "put this number here and that one there" etc. I haven't a clue what they mean, or what numbers are considered "safe".

i know tht the first section is the speed, the second is the cl i think dunno bout the rest but im not gonna even try to o/c till i get better RAM and a cooling fan

Well I'm not into O/Cing right now, I just want to know what it all means. Once I know what it all means and understand it more, then I mght try again.

One of the main reasons why I've given up overclocking is because my PC keeps failing prime95 on stock levels, and I don't know why. I've discussed this in many other threads though, and have given up, so it's not for this one (don't want to go off topic!).

Something not mentioned in that article is that for NForce2 systems, its allways good to set your system to 11 CAS.

Unreal, I think you mean that the tRAS (RAS active to precharge) should be 11, not the CAS (Column Address Strobe). Having a CAS of 11 would be nightmarishly slow.

Actually I think he added 2-2-2-5 together and made 11....
