Cheap way to add automatic temperature control to 3-pin case fans.
Hi,
I am using two of these in my Desktop PC and they are great - they only speed up when the inside of the PC case really needs it:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/ARCTIC-F12-T.../dp/B0037AQLLM
My server case has the the 120mm and 140mm versions of this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sharkoon-Sil...rkoon+golfball
and I was wondering whether there might be a cheap version of adding cheap temperature control to them.
I guessed that would be loads of options to do this but I was wrong.
Can anyone suggest anything that might fit the bill?
I guess that it might come down to me just buying more of the Arctic 12s above - slight problem is that I will need a 120mm and 140mm for the Server and they don't make them in 140mm.

Hw would you feel about a 5.25" panel in the front for temp control with temp sensors in the right places and then certain FANs controlled according to your specifications? Would be just something you like but wouldn't be as cheap as the 12cm Arctic FANs (panel + FANs). On the other hand it would work with any FAN you like.

The NZXT Grid+ isnt exactly what I would call cheap, but im pretty sure it would do what you want.
